Kitchen: dining area
This kitchen has an extra, special feature, not often found in newly-built houses. It has a wood-burning AGA-style modern cooker, a Lacunza Estilo 7. (Click here for manufacturer's website). It's a beautiful traditional-style cast iron cooker with a glass oven door, thermometre and glass ceramic top, for extra comodity. It can be linked to the house heating system to use the heat it generates when burning. We decided to buy it for the enjoyment of both the old-style warmth and the superb quality of home baking that you can get with it!!. Besides, wood is easy and cheap to find in the area, as there are plenty of pine plantations for wood production, and you can have it delivered to your home by many local farmers. Sorry, this one also has FLASH, but you can get a good look at all the appliances.
This is the wood burning cooker. Photo taken from manufacturer's page.
The kitchen has two windows, one facing east and looking onto the the garden, the other facing south and opening into the conservatory.

The conservatory is a glazed porch of 8.48 m2. All the glazing can be opened to let in fresh air during the summer or keep closed to make a nice outer sitting room for colder spring or autumn days. It's a lovely place to have breakfast or even lunch during most of the year. It has an awning and roller blinds. This is also a good place to keep your most delicate plants from early-morning frost during the winter months. (Click on photos to enlarge)
