Garden

Without any doubt, this is the most outstanding feature of this house. It covers an area of 700 m2 and it surrounds the house on all four sides. The lawn has an automatic watering system.

All gardening tools, products and machines are included in the final price. (See here for details).

The east side is quite sloping. For this reason, we turned it into an area of three terraces covered in native slate stones and planted with trees, shrubs and hedges. This is the street side of the house and garden.

East side: slate terraces

The south side is the one at the front of the house, the one the conservatory opens to and through which the small stone path links the gate to the house. Here there are lots of rose shrubs, geraniums, rhododendrums, camellias, a hawthorne... A high leylandi hedge preserves the privacy of this most lived-in area of the garden. There's a small slate area with a large garden table and chairs. Here there is also an ornamental well covering the electric pump that brings water from the spring to the house and garden taps. Also a dog's kennel and an outdoor storage for wood are located in the corner.

The west side runs along the back of the house. It has a plum tree (juicy, sweet, big, yellow plums that we used to make into unending jars of marmelade every summer!). Next to the wall, there's a stripe of different shrubs like hydrangea, rose shrubs, etc.
West side: plum tree
Finally the north side is the largest area of lawn. It has two trees in it: a holly and a mulberry tree. The side next to the wall has several plants in it: roses, jasmin, wisteria, and some bulbs: dahlia, narcissus... On the corner there is a composter. A hedge closes the view of the drive.
North side: holly. To the right: dining-room bay window.
Mulberry tree: in summer, its branches reach the ground, like a beautiful mane!
